I NEVER LEARNT

on the parapets of my dream castle
i sat and thought
what's that i never learnt?

i did my homework since i was a kid
i behaved well and was never sordid
i knew not what slangs meant
but what's that i never learnt?

i got prizes and certificates of merit
never got a black mark or a discredit
never sported a look that was funk
but what's that i never learnt?

always helped people in need
never followed an inhuman creed
in front of elders was never a blunt
but what's that i never learnt?

a good batsman in cricket
never easily i give my wicket
in other games also not a runt
but what's that i never learnt?

my memory's not so poor
but my ego for me 's too dear
considering myself infalliable
i erred in life
friends i treated with disdain
not realizing i was vain
loved someone without wanting pain
after all this
DO YOU THINK I AM SANE??????

wallowing in the emanation from the desolate
and after the soddy feelings are burnt
i get it
love's a four letter lie i never learnt.......
